Birthday Cake

I finally finished editing Jenna’s birthday cake pictures! I wrote a post on my family blog about how crazy it was to try and haul a birthday cake in the minivan to the park – not my best idea. I just regret I forgot to take a picture of the back of the cake with my handprints all over as I just tried to salvage the front for pictures. What an adventure!

Here Jenna is getting her first look at the cake. She’s not quite sure what to think.

Oh maybe she’ll poke it – or better yet take a gigantic bite!

First bite – is she going to like it and dive into the cake so I can get some really cute pictures?

You would think from these smiles she liked it, but that would be the wrong assumption. She was really just laughing at her daddy and then she started to scream and walked away. The only reason she even took a bite was because I had Chuck cut a piece out of the back and give it to her. I thought for sure she’d love it, but true to her spitfire nature she wanted nothing to do with it after an initial taste. Oh well, I still got a few cute ones!
